‘Jane Austen at 250’ display and event brings Regency England to Eagle Pass

This spring, the Eagle Pass Library featured a Jane Austen at 250 display, marking the anniversary of one of the most beloved novelists in English literature. Hosted in collaboration with Dr. Xinyan Qiu, Assistant Professor of English, the exhibit invited visitors to explore the world of Regency England and learn more about the historical context behind Austen’s novels. It also included select editions of Austen’s works from our collections across both campuses. The display ran throughout the month of April and drew steady interest from students, staff, and faculty, including those who attende d the opening reception.
