Session Title:
Session Description:
How can open educational resources act as a bridge between research and pedagogical approaches? The purpose of this presentation is to demonstrate how open tools (e.g., RStudio and GitHub), datasets, and platforms support transparent research workflows while also enabling meaningful, data-driven pedagogy. The presentation explores how platforms such as RStudio and GitHub promote accessible and high quality statistical analysis as well as data visualization. The talk also showcases openly available corpora and datasets that can be used for both investigative language research and classroom tasks. The presentation concludes with examples of the presenter’s research-based OERs currently in development relating to Spanish dialectal variation.
