OER a Lifesaver for Spanish Students

Presentation regarding the use of OER has proven to be critical for student success while studying literary pieces written in Spanish.

Dr. Verónica Méndez Maqueo was born in Mexico City where she attended Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and obtained her bachelor’s degree in Language and Hispanic Literature. She got her master’s degree from Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona in Spain and did her Ph.D. in Letters at UNAM. Dr. Mendez started her teaching career at UNAM where she taught for eleven years; prior to coming to Sul Ross, she taught at Western Colorado University where she became a Full Professor. She has published over ten Spanish Language Arts books for Middle and Upper School; as well as specialized articles.
