ILL Department Recognized for Exceptional Work

OCLC has welcomed the SRSU Library into its Express Digital Delivery program. Because of the InterLibrary Loan (ILL) Department’s exceptional work, the SRSU Library meets the Express standards of consistency in delivering articles and other digital resources within 18 hours through OCLC’s WorldShare ILL network. By participating in the Express program, the SRSU Library’s users (students, faculty, and staff) will benefit from speedy delivery from other libraries offering this same high level of service.

Launched in January 2021, Express is the fastest solution to provide requested articles to our users with our current resource-sharing service, OCLC Tipasa.

Head of InterLibrary Loan and ScanIt Services Mike Fernandez and Library Assistant in ILL and Serials Edwin Urias have worked hard to accomplish their goal of being inducted into the Express program this year. Their work will directly result in improved access for SRSU students, faculty, and staff at all four campuses.

InterLibrary Loan is a free service that enables students, staff, faculty, and retirees to borrow materials from other libraries. ScanIt (formerly known as Document Delivery) is a free service that provides scans of print materials held by the SRSU Library to students, staff, faculty, and retirees.
