More about Victoria:
Victoria Contreras is the new Archivist for the Archives of the Big Bend. She specializes in community archives and is dedicated to preserving and promoting the history and culture of West Texas and Sul Ross State University. Originally from El Paso, Victoria received her training and earned her MSc. in Information Management and Preservation from The University of Glasgow and has worked with diverse collections across Texas and abroad. Her commitment to honesty and equity inspires her to find, preserve, and advocate for missing voices and links in our cultural heritage. She is excited to be back in West Texas and looks forward to serving and becoming part of the Alpine community, preserving its heritage for many years to come. In her free time, Victoria loves to travel, raid gift shops, discover new authors, play games with friends old and new, and spoil her pets and loved ones as much as possible.
