VISITING AND RESEARCHING

The Archives of the Big Bend welcomes faculty, students, and staff of Sul Ross State University and visiting researchers. The Reading Room is reserved for registered patrons of the Archives. Because many of the materials are rare or unique, patrons are expected to treat all materials with care to avoid loss or damage and to follow the Reading Room Policies and Procedures .

Researchers and visitors may view non-circulating materials in the reading room by appointment. Appointments can be scheduled Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM.

While Archives staff can sometimes accommodate walk-in visitors, prior appointments are strongly encouraged, especially for out-of-town guests. This will ensure staff availability to assist during and in preparation for your visit. Make an appointment by emailing SRSUarchives@sulross.edu or calling 432-837-8127.
