Submit Course Reserves

Email Library Operations Supervisor Cindy Slocumb, clockwood@sulross.edu, with questions and to learn more about submitting course reserves.

ABOUT COURSE RESERVES

Physical Materials may be placed on reserve at the Bryan Wildenthal Memorial Library in Alpine or Library Services for Eagle Pass (D-129) at the request of instructors. By placing an item on reserve, an instructor limits the loan period, ensuring all students enrolled in a particular course can access the reserved material. Materials have reserve status only during the semester in which the designated course is being taught.

The SRSU Library does not otherwise limit access to reserve materials; any current student, staff, or faculty may check them out.

Materials placed on reserve may be part of the library’s holdings or may be items personally owned by the instructor, at their discretion.

Note: Course Reserves differ from the Textbook Collection and the Recommend a Purchase service. If you are unsure of the best way to make material available to your students, ask a librarian.

Placing Materials on Reserve

Faculty members may place materials on reserve by bringing a completed reserve form to the Front Desk of the Bryan Wildenthal Memorial Library along with the materials to be placed on reserve. Please read the Faculty Course Reserves Policies and Procedures before submitting materials.

The SRSU Library is not responsible for patron damage to personal items placed on reserve.
