Classroom Reservation Policy

Policies for the Bryan Wildenthal Memorial Library Classroom

The Library Classroom (Room 201) is subject to the following policies:

• The primary use of the room is for library instruction. The room is not available for regular, recurring meetings of any group, including regularly scheduled classes.

• Faculty should schedule instruction sessions at least three (3) business days in advance of the requested date in order to ensure availability and adequate preparation time. The Education and Outreach Librarian will make every effort to accommodate classes on short notice if necessary, but we cannot guarantee room availability or in-depth instruction.

• Instructors who have students with disabilities should notify the Education and Outreach Librarian in order for them to make proper accommodations ahead of time.

• Groups may schedule workshops or other single-occurrence meetings with the understanding that library instruction sessions for University classes have priority. An alternate room that may be used in the library is the Conference Room.

• Should cancelation of the reservation become necessary, please cancel at your earliest convenience and notify Betsy Evans, Education and Outreach Librarian at or (432) 837-8312 so others may utilize the room.

We highly encourage instructors to attend library bibliographic instruction sessions with their students in order to underscore the importance of the instruction session. However, if instructors are unable to attend the session with their students, the Education and Outreach Librarian will take attendance and provide an attendance sheet after the session.
