My Library Account

You can renew materials online or see your currently checked out materials and unpaid bills by choosing "My Account" in WebCat and entering your A number (without the leading A) and PIN. Faculty users who still have a 100 number on their ID card can enter it (without dashes) in the CWID field.

Online Renewal of Library Materials

General Hints

Obtaining materials NOT owned by the Sul Ross Library

Sul Ross faculty members who require books or articles not owned or electronically accessible from the Sul Ross library may request materials via Interlibrary Loan. Please see the Interlibrary Loan page for more details.

Ordering Library Materials

CHOICE cards:
The Collection Development librarian will send monthly Choice card reviews to your department chair. These cards are provided by Choice publication and contain a book review on each card. The department chair will then distribute these cards to faculty. Professors can select cards that are of interest and are pertinent to their instruction, provide a signature on that card and return it to the department chair for their signature. The card should then be mailed back the Collection Development Librarian for review.

If the book described on the CHOICE card does not seem useful, then simply discard them.

Electronic requests:
To request a new book or other material, you may submit an online from. All requests will be reviewed by the librarian and purchased if they fit selection policies and collection funding is available.
